Content + Digital Advertising
Advertising can’t make someone buy a product. What it can do is create awareness, earn attention and keep a brand top of mind when it’s time to make a decision. This case study explores a strategy designed to make those opportunities more valuable by combining content people want to consume with promotions built to drive action.

MyBookie is an online sports betting and gaming brand offering wagering markets, promotions and casino products to sports fans.
TNR content used timely sports conversations and nationally recognized guests to earn attention, while promotional creative delivered MyBookie's offers, branding and calls to action.
From November through February, the Meta campaign delivered a 2.65% overall click-through rate—approximately 37.9× the 0.07% national-average.
Performance marketing naturally focuses on action. Click. Buy. Call. Register. Redeem. Those messages are essential. But when every creative asks the consumer to take an action, the campaign depends heavily on reaching someone at exactly the moment they are ready to respond.
The missing piece is often attention. When every ad asks for something, every ad has to fight for attention.
Brands understand that content can build awareness and keep them top of mind, but producing content that people actually want and search for requires time, talent, and expertise. MyBookie's partnership with The Next Round created an opportunity to approach digital differently —through personalities people trust, relative content and an established audience.
MyBookie's Meta campaign paired traditional promotional advertising with content from The Next Round, giving each type of creative a different job. Rather than asking every impression to sell, the campaign combined content designed to stop the scroll with promotional graphics designed to drive action.

Same campaign. Different jobs.
We gave content and promotions different jobs. The campaign paired two distinct creative types within Meta.
Content creative used clips from The Next Round's sports programming, including recurring segments featuring nationally recognized sports analysts. The clips focused on conversations sports fans were already interested in—playoff scenarios, major teams, coaching storylines and upcoming games.
Promotional creative communicated MyBookie's offers, products, branding and direct calls to action. Together, the creative mix allowed the campaign to work across the customer journey.
Content creates the reason to pay attention. Promotions create the reason to act.

TNR sponsored content earned attention at a dramatically higher rate—but the takeaway isn't that content should replace promotional advertising. Both serve an essential purpose. The difference is the job each creative is being asked to do. In an already saturated digital environment, content gives people a reason to pay attention; promotional creative gives them a reason to act.

Businesses often treat sponsorship, content marketing and digital advertising as separate investments. They don't have to be.
A partnership with The Next Round gives brands access to content, personalities and an established audience relationship—and gives that content a second life as digital advertising creative.
The result is a campaign that doesn't depend exclusively on finding someone ready to buy at exactly the right moment.
It creates more opportunities to earn attention, build familiarity and deliver the offer.
Your next campaign doesn't need more ads that look like ads. Give your audience something worth stopping for—and put your brand inside the experience.
