DBL Down Media, the company behind The Next Round, is looking for a motivated, outgoing Entry-Level Digital Sports Marketing Sales Representative to join our growing team in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Next Round is one of the Southeast's fastest-growing daily live sports talk platforms. Hosted by Jim Dunaway, Ryan Brown, Lance Taylor, and the team, The Next Round delivers bold, unfiltered analysis on SEC football, college football, the NFL, and more to a highly engaged audience of passionate sports fans.
This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity for someone who loves sports, enjoys building relationships, and wants to launch a career in sports media sales and digital advertising.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Entry-Level Digital Sports Marketing Sales Representative, you will sell sponsorships for The Next Round shows, live events, and comprehensive digital marketing campaigns. You will work directly with brands to create high-ROI advertising and sponsorship opportunities in the sports media space.
This role is ideal for someone who is coachable, competitive, comfortable talking with business owners and marketing teams, and excited to learn the digital advertising side of sports media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect and develop new business relationships with potential sponsors and advertisers.
Sell show sponsorships, podcast integrations, live event sponsorships, and custom digital marketing campaigns.
Present multi-platform packages that may include Social Mirror, Meta, OTT, CTV, Display, PPC, SEO, video, audio, and more.
Build and maintain a sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Collaborate with content, production, and digital teams to create customized proposals.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Stay current on sports industry trends, especially SEC and college football, to speak knowledgeably with clients.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Passion for sports, especially college football, the SEC, and the NFL.
0-2 years of sales experience. This is an entry-level role, and training will be provided.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivation, competitive drive, and a willingness to pursue new business.
Comfort with technology and interest in learning advertising platforms.
Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field, but not required.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Birmingham, Alabama area.
